Revisions to my blog and my face????
I am very happy to say I finally took the time to make my blog look a little more attractive. I have changed the template, added a new link and deleted some old ones, added "Blogs I Read" and finally added the stat counter. A lot of blogger friends of mine have added this stat counter so you can see who is looking at your blog. I am really looking forward to seeing who is reading my blog. I have already gotten hits from Portugal and Mexico.
Speaking of making things more attractive. Recently it has come to my attention that I may need to start wearing a little make up. It wasn't just one comment, but a few comments over the past year that has made me take notice. I HONESTLY want to know your opinion on this. I have not been one to wear make-up. I guess you could even go as far as to say I know very little about applying make-up. Please let me know what you think. Do I need a little blush or do I need eye make-up or is a whole face lift in order (jk)? I won't know if you don't tell me.

You *need* to wear makeup?!!? What's that about? I don't think that you should feel like you need to... and I can't imagine why someone would say that to you. You have great skin - why would you want to cover it up!?

Make-up is highly overrated. I wish I could get away with wearing none, but people then tend to ask me if I'm feeling ok...
You look great w/out it, I say skip it.

Ok -wearing makeup is like waxing your eye brows (or any other part of your body for that matter) once you start you'll feel the need to keep doing it... over and over...
So if you don't wear make-up already... DON'T START NOW .... because once you start you'll find yourself hating what you look like without make-up...
And besides... you don't really need it... so why spend the time or money!

Hi Kim,
I am friends with Brooke and Julie, and found your blog via them.
Although I have never met you, I have seen pictures of you on your blog. You are a very pretty woman, and no way do you need make-up! I can't imagine why a supposed friend(s) would even mention it to you in the first place.
Make-up takes a lot of time, and while it is maybe fun on a dressy occassion, why bother?? Like I said, you don't need it anyway.
:) Meghan
P.S. By the way, your kids are so adorable!!

Apparently you are not over the comment about the makeup even though we discussed it and I apoligized. You are very pretty and don't necessarily need it but how many times have you asked me what I use or other people use and say you want to wear it. I feel I am a real friend with honest answers for you unlike some of the others that may feel I am a "supposed" friend for having asked a simple question. And I never said you need to wear makeup. So get the facts straight to those of you who weren't even there for the conversation.

I think you are beautiful :) I don't think you **need** makeup at all.

OK, obviously everyone has taken my blog the wrong way. First of all I wasn't trying to get compliments. Second of all I honestly was looking for make-up tips. Lastly, I was trying to add a little humor.

I don't think you need to wear makeup but if you asked me what the one thing is that you should wear/do that would make the biggest difference--I would recommend curling your eyelashes. I didn't start doing this until a couple years ago and I like the way it looks. Of course, if you don't have any eyelashes... ;-)

I appreciate all the kudos about my appearance. They were very nice and really gave me a boost. (Especially after my personal training evaluation!)
I think my post was taken out of context. What I was looking for were a few tips. I do wear make-up for specail occassions, but I don't think I do a good job applying it. I really wanted to know your beauty secrets. I most certainly am not going to start wearing make-up on a daily basis. It is just not comfortable for me to do so. I should have been more clear on my post of what I was trying to gain, but in all honesty I was trying to get a few laughs. Unfortunately they were at the expense of others and I will not make that mistake again.
Some of the things in my blog I write about are personal to me and I am using my blog as a way of venting. I find it very therapeutic. If I am offending anyone by my comments, please don't take them personally or judge me because this is the way I cope with things.

I've seen you several times in person, as well as in your photos. You have beautiful skin! Just keep using a good moisturizer and a high SPF to protect it.
My personal opinion on makeup is use it if YOU want to - don't do it for someone else. I use it to accentuate the positive, and cover up the bags from late nights of wine and knitting.

I love lipstick or lip gloss! I think lip gloss is very sexy. I hardly go out of the house without something on my lips especially in AZ in the summer I wear something with an SPF.
I also think that lipstick adds a little color to your face. My mom actually told me this one and she never wears makeup unless it is lipstick. She always said once you start then you must keep it going.
